 "Swingin' for the Ride"

This is my newest CD and, by golly, I do believe it's really a good one.  It was recorded with my acoustic trio at a super happy time in my life. That feeling comes across in the music and, from what people tell me, it's catchy.  I wanted something that would create a nice  not-in-your-ambience, but also would keep you happy and interested if you felt like listening deeply.  I decided to let it all hang out on this one- singing as well as playing on everything. Yes, everything, and, by golly at the same time too. I wrote almost half of the tunes on the CD, both music and lyric, and grabbed the other tunes from those that we all know and are "favorites of the people."  Happiness guaranteed.  You could buy this CD or any tune on it at I-Tunes or CD Baby

 "Dangerous Mood"

I'm the pianist/keyboardist and arranger on this CD that accompanies a most wonderful vocalist and entertainer named Suede.  The tunes are eclectic in terms of the groove and the band size ranges from a small group to a 14 piece band.  So, each tune takes you on it's own journey.  This one took a whole lot of time and energy to put together.  It was just released this year and I'm happy to say, we're all very, very proud of our new "baby."  You can purchase it at CD Baby.

 "A Dear in the Headlights"

This rather unlikely CD for me to have arranged and played on was put together for a nutty and unique vocalist name Royal Jones in 2007.  The tunes tend toward retro funky jazz with a bit of R and B (back ground singers and everything).  Nice for dancing and working out to, I'd say. It's mostly originals- many of which were collaborations between the vocalist and myself. Also available at CD Baby.

 "Triptych"

This is one of my CD's from about 1985.  It's an acoustic piano trio CD.  The tunes are standards, Brazilian tunes and jazz tunes with an original or two thrown in.  I did it with three of my favorite trios.  This CD has some of my most favorite piano trio tunes on it, "Baby Won't You Please Come Home."  There may be one copy left of this CD.  Maybe.  Try CD Baby.

"Janice Friedman Quartet featuring Claudio Roditi"

Although this CD from the JazzMania label 1993 is not really available anymore, unfortunately, but it was one to be proud of.  After all it featured the fantastic trumpeter, Claudio Roditi, with my trio including, Tom Rainey on drums and John Goldsby on bass.  If you find copies of this CD, let me know!

 "Court Jester"

What an incredible sextet this was lead by world renowned trumpeter, Greg Gisbert, with Tim Ries on tenor, Jon Gordon on alto, Conrad Herwig on bone, Greg Hutchinson on drums and Jay Anderson on bass.  Not bad I'd say.  I'm happy to say that Greg used a couple of my tunes on this CrissCross 1996 release.  This CD can be purchased at the Criss Cross Website.

 "Milt Hinton- The Bassment Tapes"

I was really happy to be a part of Milt Hinton history on this CD on the Charoscuro Record label.  The CD has lots of different and wonderful groups recorded in the the year 1989.  I join Milt and am featured with the amazing trumpeter, Warren Vache' with whom I had done many tours and gigs with in the past.  Can be purchased at Chiaroscuro Records.

 "Women's Work"

This CD was recorded live at Sweet Rhythm in 2007 with vocalist Judi Silvano at the helm.  It features all women in the band, including the great Allison Miller on drums and Jennifer Vincent on bass.  In addition to all the players being female, all of the tunes are by women composers as well (including one of my own).  It's got a good vibe.  Can be purchased at CD Baby.

 "Swinging Ladies- Take Two"

This energetic all female quintet was recorded in 1996 in Germany by Inak Records.  We had a ball with this band lead by bassist Lindy Huppertsburg and featuring the great trumpeter Stacy Rowles. The listeners could not believe it was all women.  They were looking under our chairs for tape recorders.  Wish I was kidding!

 "Christmas Card"

This CD of Christmas tunes I arranged for opera singer Janet Villas.  We accompanied her with mostly piano trio and a bit of sax and flute thrown in.

"Elaine St. George- That Old Fashioned Love"

Elaine put together a show entitled "The Girl That I Marry" and recorded these tunes live with myself and Adam Armstrong on bass at the Playwrights Horizons play house of New York City in June of 2004.  It is a short play disc.

"Stan Edwards- Play Me Hearts and Flowers"

This one really goes back a ways.  It was arranged and played on by guitarist Dom Minasi.  Stan has a Frank Sinatraish way about him.

"Mark Buselli- Through the Eyes of a Child"

Mark is a beautiful trumpeter from Indiana, the state of my schooling at IU.  This quintet part of the CD was recorded in NYC in 1997.  There's a duo section that features Mark with my most important mentor, pianist, Claude Sifferlen from the early 80's. How cool is that to share a CD with such an important person to me? You can pick this up at CD Baby.

 "Mark Biles- Club Car Memoir"

This CD was recorded in 2000.  The tunes and arrangements are all Mark's.  A nice recording, I'd say.

 "Stephanie Clark"

In 2002, I helped produce this shorter play CD and of course played on it as well.  Stephanie has the kind of voice quality that you just can't not like.

 "Diva- Something's Coming"

Ir was an experience no doubt.

"John Lee Krasnow -Ululation"

This LP, done in 1987, is the first professional recording I was ever on. The band is a quintet playing all original tunes by John Lee Krasnow. It features some great players- Jerry Vejmola on tenor, Valery Ponomorov on trumpet, Jeff Hitman on alto and, of course, John Lee Krasnow on the bari.  For many weeks we had a party at my apartment to practice  for this LP.  None of us, except Jack, knew that this was to be his legacy.  He died three years after it came out.  I still have people calling me about this CD.
